Peace by the Pond Ring

This dainty ring is a result of an evening spent in a local park. Amid all the hubbub of urban life there's an oasis of peace and quiet with a pond full of waterlilies, lotuses, koi fish and frogs. The gentle sounds of a small waterfall and rustling leaves and the evening song of frogs are so unusual in the city that they help anyone enter a deep meditative state. And that state of meditation gave birth to this design.

This is a one of a kind ring, fully handmade using different silversmithing techniques, such as sawing, repousse, chasing, soldering, melting (for the gold drops) etc. All the work, from the original design to the final polishing and stonesetting, is done by me.

This ring is made of sterling silver with gold (14k) drops in the flowers and set with a lovely waterdrop - a 6mm semi-transparent bluish-grey aquamarine.
